YES, believe it or not Eco Energy Solutions is not only a Carbon Neutral / Maintained company, we are actually Carbon Negative!! It is achievable.
A self assessed Audit of our entire operations shows that we emit approximately 72,5 tonnes of CO2 equivalent per annum if we include our regular air and train travel.
We run only diesel fuelled vehicles, are very conservative with electricity consumption and use stationary made from 100% wheat pulp.
Our base at Grove, in Tasmania's beautiful Huon Valley is a 276 acre farm property. More than two thirds of our property is natural Eucalypt bushland.
Our Eastern boundary is Mountain River which flows with pristine water run off from Mt.Wellington.
We have planted over 4,800 conifer and pine trees in 4 seperate groves. We absorb well over 1,200 of CO2 annually on the property.
Further the homestead operates a 2.4kW Grid Connected solar PV array, solar hot water, a Rayburn wood stove and a 50kW wood boiler for hydronic heating (our 1.0kW wind turbine is currently down for upgrading).
